In a networked environment where combined planning and execution can become increasingly challenging. Improved management and situational awareness can transform command and control and the coordination of operations throughout the area of responsibility. Northrop Grumman has a successful track record in providing integrated C4I solutions and we provide the tools, products and concepts that support Network Enabled Capability (NEC). NEC focuses on building an evolving capability to bring together decision makers, sensors and weapons systems enabling them to pool their information to enhance effectiveness. NEC is the key to interoperability with other nations.
Complex Systems Integration
Northrop Grumman understands the complexity of integrating components to create C4ISTAR systems which operate all levels of command, across the joint battlespace, with alliances, coalitions and less formal partnerships. A team of systems engineers are designing systems today which meet demands of Europe's defence establishments as they strive to make NEC a reality.
Systems Engineering
Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive range of consultancy services provided by a highly experienced systems engineering team. The team consists of senior systems engineers with expertise gained from a wide variety of military and civilian backgrounds, and knowledge acquired from involvement with key UK Allied programs. The team works with a broad range of organisations in areas such as architecture design, requirements management, satisfaction arguments process and CONUSE/CONEMP/CONOPS development, helping customers to achieve success within challenging budgets and schedules.
Delivery and Full Lifecycle Support
A twelve-month Standard Product Support contract is provided with all product purchases. Customers needing support or wishing to report incidents can contact Northrop Grumman's help desk which is available during office hours from Monday to Friday and provides telephone, email, fax or letter support.
Capability Delivery
Our investment in software design and doctrinal development enables us to provide a suite of products that are optimised to deliver integrated and coherent C4I. The Northrop Grumman Integrated Command and Control Framework (IC2F) offers an architecture ensuring that customers are provided with the capability they require. Using the UK MOD Architecture Framework (MODAF) Northrop Grumman is able to quickly determine the optimum solution to meet the requirement.
IC2F enables the integration of information from a range of data sources accessible via Tactical Data Links, Software Defined/Combat Net Radios and SATCOM. IC2F provide a Common Operating Picture (COP) integrated with a C4I solution covering the J1 to J9 staff functions for both homeland defence and conflict resolution operations. The core of our capability is provided in our Integrated Joint Operational Command and Control System, (I-JOCCS) this is an operational and tactical level static and mobile headquarters C4I Solution and Integrated Tactical Command and Control Systems (I-TaCCS) which is a vehicle (land, sea and air) and dismounted soldier based C4I solution.
In addition to the C4I software and equipment we are able to provide the support necessary to realise the operational benefits, these include:
Capabilities we deliver include:
Force Protection
- Common Operating Picture
- Tactical C2
- Blue Force Tracking
- Harbour and Coastal Security
- Airspace Management
